Di Blasi Cosmetics Review

Several days ago I received a beautiful parcel from Tatiana at Di Blasi Cosmetics with some of their lovely products for me to review, the pressed flowers and fresh scent when I opened it up was an extra added touch that really made the parcel that little more special than your ordinary.

Now onto the products, I received the Butter Multitasking Makeup Remover, Prickly Pear and Manna Cream, Handmade Olive Oil Soap and a beautiful terracotta leaf shaped dish to hold the products in.

The soap has a beautiful spa like scent to it and leaves your skin feeling exceptionally soft and silky. I used this the week after arriving home from my holiday abroad, and although I didn't get a glowing tan, I did pick up the sun a little, and it really helped give my skin that added shine.

The Multitasking Makeup Remover is very effective at removing all kinds of make up, especially for getting off all the eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara I wear! The butter formula of the remover means it leaves your skin feeling lovely and moisturised and does not dry out your face like some removers do. Finally, the Prickly Pear and Manna Cream has the perfect balance for a moisturiser, it's not too thick but  moisturises sufficiently and smells super fruity and lovely.

I'd also like to add that I have sensitive skin and none of these products irritated mine, which gets a huge thumbs up from me!

Have you tried any products from the Di Blasi Cosmetic range? If so, I'd love to know.

*These products were kindly sent to me for review purposes, this does not in anyway alter my opinion. All opinions are 100% true and would not be otherwise stated.

TOP 3 FAVOURITE EYELINERS

I used to be one of those people who just couldn't leave the house without winged eyeliner on. After a good 4/5 years of wearing it everyday, I've tried and tested my fair share of eyeliners. So for you eyeliner lovers, or maybe you're just starting out, I thought I'd recommend my 3 favourite eyeliners, at a variation of prices.
If you're a newbie eyeliner user/wearer, then I'd definitely recommend the 'Magic Liner' in the shade engraved by Topshop, it's got a very thin felt tip and is brilliant for creating a thin line, (so perfect if you make any mistakes!) this is £6.50 and you can buy it here.
For a medium/thick and vivid black line, I'd definitely recommend the 'Master Precise' Liquid Eyeliner by Maybelline in the shade... you guessed it, black. This is my favourite out of all the eyeliners and I'd definitely recommend this to anyone, whether you're new to using eyeliner or not, it's a brilliant felt tip liquid liner, this is £5.99 and you can get it here.
Finally, the most expensive of the three, is the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner, I must admit, if you're not quite a dab hand at eyeliner, then this probably isn't the one for you, the felt tip is (quite) thick and is definitely not the easiest to use. I definitely prefer to use this eyeliner if I'm going anywhere special, with it being a high end product, priced at £12, it feels a little bit more special to wear. Does anyone else feel the same when they're wearing high end products? You can purchase the Eyeko liner here from Asos!

So there we have my 3 favourite eyeliners! I hope this helped anyone who's thinking of purchasing an eyeliner any time soon.

BY TERRY OMBRE BLACKSTAR: BRONZE MOON

If you're like me and you love a good bronze/brown eyeshadow but you don't want to spend AGES on your eye make up then the By Terry Ombre Blackstar eyeshadow sticks are definitely for you. My personal favourite is in the shade 'bronze moon' I've swatched it on the second photo, the first is without blending, whilst the second swatch is blended. The shadow sticks are a real life saver when you're in a rush but still want to make a bit of an effort with your eye make up, the colour pay off is incredible and it's very long lasting, as it doesn't smudge or budge at all once you've applied it. the only slight downside is that this does mean you've got to be quick with your blending as it does set pretty fast, so you've got to be a dab hand with your blending! I'm not going to lie, the price tag of these shadow sticks are quite phenomenal... £29 each! For a little bit extra you could purchase a high end eyeshadow palette, however, I can see this being an item that will be in my make up bag for a very long time and the shade range is brilliant.

Have you tried any of the By Terry shadow sticks before? What's your favourite shade?

SHOEAHOLICS: KURT GEIGER/CARVELA

If you've never heard of the site 'Shoeaholics' it's definitely one to keep an eye on. After hearing about this site on a student website I've been absolutely hooked on checking it out ever since. The site is run by Kurt Geiger and it is where they sell all their old season stock at amazing prices. The prices start at as little as £9! You can get some real bargains if you catch things early. I've purchased many things off this site, from handbags, to heels, to sandals and flats! The prices are just incredible. I got both of these pairs at just £19 each, not to mention the extra 20% student discount they offer! It is definitely a site to look out for, for bargains and somewhere to look before you pay full price for something. The best thing about the site is that not only do they sell Kurt Geiger, Carvela and Miss KG, they have an array of brands from UGG, to Michael Kors, Burberry, Hugo Boss and much much more. The only downside is that postage and packaging starts at £5, but for the bargains you get it's really worth it!

Have you purchased from this site before? What bargains did you get? I just love it!

WANDERING AROUND A BOOK SHOP

If you're like me and you love reading, then you'll know there's nothing quite like a stroll around a book shop. Wall after wall of books and not to mention the perfect stationery. It really is a book lover and stationary addict's paradise. On a recent trip to Waterstones I snapped these photos and thought I'd share them with you, as if you're anything like me, then these photos will fill your eyes with delight!

BOOK REVIEW: THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN

You may have seen one of my latest posts in which I mentioned this book, I read it a couple of months ago and it was the first book in a while that I read in just one sitting. I loved it that much that I actually stayed up till 5am until I finished it, it was utterly unputdownable.

FAVOURITE CONCEALERS: DRUGSTORE vs HIGH END

Now if you own the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer then I'm almost certain that you'll feel my pain when it comes to the packaging of this concealer, the writing ALWAYS rubs off. I've bought this concealer copious amounts of times and each one does the same! So unfortunately, it's not all that aesthetically pleasing on the eye, but i guess that's what you get with drug store brands. The Nars Radiant Creamy concealer on the other hand is fine.

REVIEW: FRANK BODY SCRUB

There was a LOT of questions surrounding this when it was first released as bloggers/YouTubers/Instagramers around the world seemed to be receiving samples of this left, right and centre. The biggest questions: Does it actually work? Is it worth the money? Is this just another gimmick? So I'm going to do my best to answer them.

MY LIP COMBO: MAC & PRIMARK

Now I was very shocked when I went to the beauty section of Primark and found that they had brought out lip liners and even more shocked when I found a colour which was absolute identical to my favourite MAC cremesheen 'crosswires.'

WHAT'S IN MY HANDBAG: CARVELA KURT GEIGER

I've recently bought a gorgeous new Carvela Kurt Geiger handbag that I am absolutely in love with, so I thought I'd share it with you and do a what's in my handbag post. Now these posts are my absolute favourite to read, as the inner nosey parker in me really does come out.

I adore the rose gold hardware against the black leather, I think it's an absolutely lovely touch. What's great about this bag is that it has two strap options, I can either wear it over the shoulder or on my arm. It's got a huge pocket in the front which I use to store my most used items such as my phone, keys, purse and bus pass. Inside the bag is a lovely silky lining which adds a lovely touch to the bag and this is where I store all my other items which you can see here:

I always carry a mini makeup bag around with my essentials for touching up my makeup, I have the MAC blotting powder which I apply with my Zoeva 106 Powder Brush, which is great for when your face just gets that little bit oily during the day. I also always have the lipstick I'm wearing on that day to reapply with and at the moment it's a MAC cremesheen in the shade 'crosswires.' I couldn't leave the house without my Zara White Eau de Toilette in there too, alongside a couple of hair bands and a little mirror to apply my make up with.

At the moment I've been wearing my black jeans a lot, so I've been carrying around a lint roller with me which I picked up from Primark recently because oh does lint like to attach itself to black jeans! As the sun keeps rearing its head lately I've also been making sure to stick my sunglasses in my bag too, these are just a pair from H&M which I absolutely love and hope they never break on me. I also carry with me a little tan leather purse which I just put some paracetamol in, some hayfever tablets and a few tissues. I also carry with me my bus pass and a little ticket holder from Cath Kidston.

And the one thing I couldn't leave the house without is my Fossil purse, as the majority of the time the reason I'm going out tends to be for a shop and things get a bit spendy. I absolutely love this purse as it actually has enough pockets to fit all my cards in (and trust me, I have a lot!) I seem to pick up a card everywhere I go, from my bank card, to a waterstones card, to a millie's cookies one, I seem to collect them everywhere I go!

So that's my essentials for carrying in my bag, obviously things like my phone and keys aren't in the photo but we can just pretend that they are.

Is there anything in my bag that you think I've missed? What's your handbag essentials?

OOTD: H&M SUMMER DRESS

Hello there,
Just thought I'd show you a dress that I bought from H&M a couple of days ago, I'd seen it in the store as I was walking out with my already full bags and just couldn't justify going back in again!

However, a few days later when I got an e-mail from H&M advertising their sale and low and behold, the dress was in the sale, reduced from £7.99 to £4! I couldn't leave it for that and so I bought it straight away.

REVIEW: ST TROPEZ IN SHOWER TAN

If you keep up with the current beauty/skincare trends, then you're probably aware about this in shower tan by St Tropez, which promises a gradual tan after 3 minutes of application in the shower.

Now I must admit, I was very dubious about this when I first heard about it and I was definitely apprehensive of buying it. However, I 'bit the bullet' and bought it, luckily it was on offer in Boots at the time for £9.50 rather than the RRP of £14.50, you can still get this offer, here.

A LITTLE UPDATE

It's been a while.. the last time I wrote a blog post was Christmas Eve last year! Terrifying how quickly this year has flown by, isn't it?

So I just thought I'd give you a little update. Since my last post, I've completed my A-Levels; History, Psychology and English Literature and I'm (nervously) awaiting my results on the 13th of August to find out whether I'm accepted into the University of choice. My hair has had the chop! And i've also been on my first holiday abroad with my boyfriend and booked another holiday for the beginning of September! Exciting times.
